Jay Hartz grew up in the city of St Louis, Missouri. At a young age, he was surrounded by many Italian Eateries and started working for the Ponticello Family as a Dishwasher/Pizza cook at the age of 13. It was at that time he was determined to follow a career in the Hospitality Industry. Throughout High School and College, Jay worked his way up in the Food & Beverage side of the hotel industry. After College, his career blossomed as he worked in every department of the Hotel business and eventually became a General Manager. From there, Jay soon got into Multi-Unit Hotel Management. Most recently, he had dedicated his career to the Sales & Marketing side of the Hotel World as he was the Vice President of Sales for over 36 hotels in the USA. With over 35 years of experience in the Hotel/Restaurant Industry, Jay decided to purchase his own hotel. He and his wife Denise re-opened The Hotel Pattee in November of 2013.
