Thank you to Jay for letting me hijack his blog this week. I am Jen Heins and I book the music for the Hotel Pattee. If you enjoy live music, the Hotel Pattee is a great place to be Friday and Saturday evenings, 7-10 pm and starting May 25 we are adding Sunday afternoons, 12-3 pm. Now that the weather has warmed up music will be located in Soumas Court except special events. Our rain location will be in the lobby of the hotel.
The Hotel Pattee is different than going to bar or club to see a band. It is a relaxed, intimate experience where friends gather and musicians can connect to their audience more like a house concert or listening room experience. The Hotel Pattee also has the benefit of a restaurant & bar with a talented chef, Chris Caes. And if you really wanted the full experience you can book a room at the hotel for a getaway from it all.
We are fortunate to have had a wonderful group of local musicians come to the hotel since the reopening in November and we will continue to book our local talent. In June, we begin hosting nationally touring musicians, open mic & jam experiences and our Lit By the Sun Series that pairs a dinner and concert. Details for the Lit By the Sun events including biographies and videos are available on the website as well our updated music line up.
Some of our upcoming events: MAY 23 Dan Jones, MAY 24 The Otherside Trio, MAY 25 Ryan Sheeler, MAY 30 Patresa Hartman, MAY 31 Howard Freerksen, JUN 1 Open Mic 4-6pm, JUN 1 Banjer Dan, JUN 6 Ron Burchett, JUN 7 TBA, JUN 13 Max Gomez - Lit By the Sun Performance, JUN 14 Lindgren and Lewis, JUN 15 Jean Marie Salem, JUN 20 Ray and Jane, JUN 21 Rob Lumbard, JUN 22 Keifer Brandt, JUN 27 The High Crest, JUN 28 Home Grown Tomatoes 1-5pm Baccoon Ride.
The Hotel Pattee is quickly becoming a destination for great food, cyclists, musicians, art and history lovers and those wanting a quick getaway any day of the week to Perry, IA.
Look forward to seeing you at the Hotel Pattee.
