One of the most popular question I get is “Are all of the rooms still themed?” and/or “Did you keep the rooms the same?” The answer to both of those questions is “Yes.”
The other question we get is “Do you plan on changing any of the room themes?” For now, the answer is “No.”
If I were to change a room theme, the first challenge would be “Which room would I take out?” That would be a very, very difficult decision.
The second challenge would be determining what theme to create. Well, one theme that we do not have is a Sports Related Room or Suite.
After watching the US Women’s Team Win the World Cup last Sunday, Soccer comes to mind. If you
didn’t get a chance to watch the game, you missed a spectacular performance filled with individual
talent and overall team effort.
Soccer is the sport that I grew up playing, and I was fortunate to grow up in St. Louis which was and still
is a huge soccer town! My parents started me out playing when I was 6 years old and I played through
my first year of college. Two highlights of my soccer years were winning the City of St. Louis
Championship when I was 14 years old and when I scored the first goal in my High Schools History.
You see, I attended St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington, Missouri. At that time, the
town was slightly bigger than Perry Iowa, as there were about 10,000 residents. Up until I was a senior, I and my fellow teammates played for the Washington Soccer Association. In my Senior Year, my High
School started a Soccer Program. Hence, this was the reason I able to score the first goal in the school’s history.
So if the US Team wants to make the trip to Perry, we might be convinced to convert a room!!!
In all seriousness, Congratulations to the US Team and their Victory. They certainly represented their
Country very well!
Until next time….
