Can you believe that it is already the end of May? WOW, where does time go!
For many, Memorial Day is the official kick off to summer. That, however, is not the true meaning & purpose of Memorial Day. Instead, this is a day to remember and commemorate all men and women who have died in military service for the United States and our fellow citizens.
I myself have never served in the Armed Forces, but I do certainly thank service men and women who are currently serving our Country as well as those I meet who are veterans. Each Memorial Day (along with other times in the year) I reflect on those who have died in the line of service for our fine Country. Often I ask myself, where would I be if it wasn’t for those brave women and men who served or have served in the Armed Forces?
In so many ways, I feel like that is not enough; Thanking and reflecting that is. We as Americans are so
blessed to have a high quality of life which begins with our freedom. Our current military and our
veterans are the reason we have this freedom. The sacrifices they (and their families) make or have
made are simply incomprehensible to me.
So with all of this said, I would simply like to take this moment in time to personally thank all of the
Women & Men who are currently serving our Country or who have served. I would also like to thank
their respective families for all of the sacrifices they are currently experiencing or have experienced.
And finally, for those Veterans who are no longer with us in this life, THANK YOU, and I certainly hope
you are in a better place today.
Please take a moment on Memorial Day and Every Day to go out of your way to thank the fine people
who serve or have served in any U.S. Armed Forces which are made up of the five armed service
Have a Great Upcoming Memorial Day Weekend and please be safe in your travels.
