I have discovered a new alternative wedding registry idea and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you all!
Yesterday my little sister asked me if I had ever heard of honeyfund. I thought well yes! I have heard of different couples that instead of registering for gifts at a big box store such as Target or Pottery Barn simply ask for funding for their honeymoon. I have also heard of couples that create a new home fund; any gifted money goes towards purchasing a new home. My oldest brother and his now wife requested no gifts, but if guests felt inclined to give something, they could donate to a charity that was near and dear to their heart (it was a nonprofit camp they both volunteered at during their summer breaks in college).
My sister sent me the link to honeyfund and I asked what it was all about; I think she summarized it perfectly, “instead of registering at target or something you register at honey fund then you list things you are going to be doing on your honey moon like meal at this place $50, drinks on beach $25, massage $100, etc. then people can pay for things. …so if you don't want to get house supplies and use people's gifting toward something you actually need help paying for." How neat! Please check it out. Below I have listed a link to honeyfund.
All the best,
